In January 2022, Madiun provided government funding to MADANI’s Lead Partner Bambu Nusantara and the multi-stakeholder Learning Forum FORPEMMA to improve the organizational capacity of small enterprises in the city’s 27 neighborhoods. On 26 April 2022, MADANI partners conducted the fourth training – out of 12 – to small-scale traders, facility managers, and neighborhood administrators. The trainings aim to develop participant skills in business administration, financial management, promotion strategies, standard operating procedures, and reporting. The trainings are part of a larger stimulus package co-funded by the city and national government that is worth IDR 14.9 billion (USD $1 million).
