The sub-district of Sumbersari is a pilot area for MADANI partner GPP Jember and the FORJES Learning Forum on “Healthy Youth Villages.” These partners work to improve the competence of Posyandu cadres to be able to carry out early detection of maternal and infant malnutrition. The Posyandu Jamboree was attended by 2,895 Posyandu cadres, staff from 50 community health centers, and 150 ambulance drivers. The Jember Government has already made commitments to involve CSOs, the media, and local universities in reproductive health budgeting and preventing child marriage and has committed to establishing Youth Posyandu cadres in 50 Community Health Centers in Jember by the end of 2024. GPP is now working with the Jember District Health Office to issue a circular letter related to funding the scale-up of Youth Posyandu.
