Presidential Regulation No. 16/2018 on Public Procurement has opened the door for a more inclusive development process, allowing civil society organizations to participate in small-scale government procurement. However, the number of CSOs applying for these tenders remains low at the sub-national level. MADANI and the National Public Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) hosted two webinars the last week of January 2022 to increase awareness of the regulation and present the actual procurement process. Three hundred and fifty-seven participants – representing MADANI local government counterparts and CSO partners – attended the webinars.
