From January to March 2023, USAID MADANI national partner RISE Foundation, in collaboration with MADANI CSO partners, organized a series of citizen hearings on maternal and child health across 15 MADANI districts. Based on these hearings, RISE Foundation provided three recommendations to the legislative drafting team in a public hearing on March 16: (1) develop a comprehensive information system to improve marginalized and minority group access to the National Health Insurance, (2) create a platform that allows citizens to provide feedback on the National Health Insurance, and (3) develop a policy for providing ultrasound equipment and staff training at community health centers.
