Corporate Social Responsibility Funds MADANI’s Civil Society Program Beyond Project Lifecycle

Jun 4, 2022

On June 2, 2022, MADANI’s CSO partner in Boyolali (Central Java), Lembaga Kajian untuk Transformasi Sosial (LKTS), and the local branch of the state oil company Pertamina signed an agreement to strengthen the implementation of the Ministry of Health’s Desa Siaga KIBBL (“Maternal and Child Health Alert Village”) program in Boyolali.

The partnership will focus on improving communication between the community health centers (Puskemas) and the village community, training cadres of volunteers to ensure the wellbeing of infants and pregnant women. As part of their corporate social responsibility program, Pertamina will over the next two years allocate an undisclosed sum to increase the skills of village health cadres to assist pregnant women and newborns and handle evacuations of high-risk patients. The partnership will ensure the MADANI-initiated community-based program will continue beyond the project’s lifecycle.
