West Java Governor, Mr. Ridwan Kamil, gives remarks during a townhall meeting with civil society representatives in Bogor City.
During a government-organized townhall with civil society representatives and the West Java governor, Bogor City Mayor Bima Arya highlighted the USAID-endorsed Organizational Performance Index (OPI). This tool has to date assisted 70 of 217 registered CSOs in Bogor in measuring their overall performance through self-assessments, a first step towards organizational development. During more than two years of the MADANI project, the City of Bogor has provided support to and fostered an enabling environment for CSOs, empowering them to increase their capacity and collaborate successfully with key public and private stakeholders. This improvement, especially related to efficiency and effectiveness, paves the way for local CSOs to continue to grow and become professional and trustworthy development partners.
