During the event, Governor Ridwan Kamil also announced the winners of the Provincial Regional Development Award. The top three spots in the district-category were taken by the MADANI districts of Garut, Bandung, and Sukabumi. These local governments were recognized for their outstanding achievements in development innovation, planning, and implementation. One of the award criteria was the level of civil society participation and multistakeholder engagement through the collaborative governance approach. The assessment for the Ministry of National Development Planning-initiated award is carried out through multiple assessments, collective scoring, and expert review. MADANI’s partner CSOs in various MADANI districts have showed consistent improvements in performance, strengthened organizational capacity, and a deepened relationship with local stakeholders through MADANI’s collaborative governance approach.
