YAPPIKA-ActionAid launches technical assistance on advocacy and community organizing

Jul 28, 2021

YAPPIKA-ActionAid has been hired by MADANI to provide training and mentoring to MADANI’s 32 Lead Partners on civil society advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and community organizing, from July 2021 to March 2022.

The objective of the technical assistance is to increase MADANI Lead Partners’ knowledge and understanding of policy advocacy concepts, mapping strategic stakeholders, and how to effectively mobilize and organize citizens in their communities. The training and mentoring will also aim to facilitate linkages between MADANI’s local CSO partners and the national advocacy networks led by YAPPIKA-ActionAid. The ultimate goal is to increase MADANI partners’ capacity to generate greater impact from their advocacy. The training began with a kickoff webinar between YAPPIKA-ActionAid, Lead Partners and MADANI’s Field Coordinators in its 32 districts on July 27, 2021. Due to COVID-19, the training and mentoring will be delivered online.
